Korean Peerage in the Empire of Japan.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

'Japan' had been 'the Empire of Japan' until 1945. There was an aristocratic system also in Japan, and the Duke, the Marquis, the Count, the Viscount, and the Baron existed in the Empire of Japan age.

The Empire of Japan treated the Royal Family and the aristocrat in the Empire of Korea as an aristocrat in the Empire of Japan though the Empire of Japan annexed the Empire of Korea in 1910. They had been called 'Korean Peerage' in the Empire of Japan. Therefore at the Empire of Japan, there had been existed Korean Peerage.

The number of people of Korean Peerage is as follows.

・Duke:0
・Marquis:6
・Count:3
・Viscount:22
・Baron:45

The Empire of Japan was very very generous to Korea like this.
